Hello, I am not a metallurgist, but I am sure that all the A7 flywheels I have seen are steel not cast iron (they ring don't they?), I would imagine that they were drop forged and machined steel. I have only ever seen 1/4" bolts on any I have worked on and have never seen U.N.F threads on a British Austin Seven. Regards Ian
