Are early Reliant engines (parts off or complete) general acceptable around the world by Austineers and Clubs as equal replacements for the Seven engine when building specials?? The question has come up here (South Australia) and I always thought they were…. I know they are OK with the 750 Club boys and girls (including the 695cc OHV I believe). There are many references in Austin Seven books on Specials indicating they have been used for many years and seem to be accepted, but maybe I am wrong. How is your Club handling this????????????
