Can anyone comment on two strange features on a 1929 Seven recently purchased by a friend…..

The first is thread cap on the nose piece of the crank handle housing

• Photograph with cap fitted
• Photograph with crank fitted

The second feature is the interesting windscreen pillars?

• Photograph of windscreen pillar

Both look very original??
