Can anyone help with the dimensions of the centre main bearing shells used on the late seven 3 bearing engines?? I think the centre main journal is 1.5625 (1 9/16”) as standard? But what is the width and shell thickness (or the bearing shells OD if you like…). Can you get them as spares in an undersized range? I need these for the very early Reliant engine rebuild I am currently doing, the Reliant big-ends look the same as the late Seven big-ends but the centre main looks wider on the Reliant? Unfortunately I only have 2 bearing Seven engines so direct comparing is difficult in the shed. Any other suggestions appreciated…… If the Seven shells are usable, it looks like I would need .030” shells for the big-ends and .050” or .060” for the centre main.
Thanks
Bruce
