Thanks again Dennis, I was aware of the detail on page 46, and as you say it appears to show a well worn joint, however as you may know the seat cushions changed at around that point from one that was a thinner cushion which sat on top of the seat base and had metal clips to hold them in place, to a thicker cushion that sat down into the base, this type has a 1/4" ply bottom with two ash battens across the bottom, Page 49 is this type (but cannot see if it has a join) It looks to me that page 46 has the early type, What we need is for the owners of both cars to get in touch.
