I think I remember that the position of the engine mountings on various types of "forward starter" crankcases differ, both fore and aft and in relation to the drive line height. If the fan doesn't clear your Nippy rad easily, I would bet on the wrong crankcase rather than the wrong radiator! Probably a lot cheaper just to modify the fan. I am always impressed by the way that Sports parts differ just enough to make interchange with standard parts awkward but not impossible!
