Yes, I knew that Chris Dalby sold the seal but not the bearing cover ready converted so I did not include his name in the ones I gave you. The modern seal is, in fact, available from any local bearing /seal supplier by quoting the internal and external diameters and the seal thickness.
It is, actually, very easy to convert a traditional bearing cover to take a modern seal but you do need a lathe.
By the time you have bought the bits and had the machining done (if you cannot do it yourself) you might as well buy the thing ready converted.
Remember, when fitting the modern seal (or the felt seal for that matter) to lubricate the lip of the seal so that it is not damaged on initial start up.
