SA State Motor Race Championships Announced for Mallala

Four titles up for grabs in South Australia

Mallala, 20th February 1999: At the February State Council of CAMS Ltd. it was confirmed that the Mallala Masters race meeting on September 11th & 12th 1999 will see the crowning of four new state champions.

The Formula Vee and Club Car champions will be crowned at this meeting, as they were last year, and the Mallala Masters race for HQ Holdens will also decide the SA State Champion for the HQ Holden class.

The fourth SA Champion to be decided at the meeting will be the SA Regularity Champion. This is an interesting event where the competitor nominates a lap time, and then is timed for four flying laps of the track. The competitor that laps the most consistently to the nominated time is the winner.

The Mallala Masters meeting is a good showcase of SA Motor Sport with a varied mix of categories, with both modern and historic classes of cars and historic motorcycles. Many of the South Australian general car clubs also have an annual run to the Sunday of the meeting.
