Dave,

I cannot help much with the Austin Seven three bearing modifications but I am currently building an early Reliant motor for my new special. It uses a split bush in place of the roller bearing for the centre camshaft bearing. If you’re worried about oil pressure lose, the front camshaft bearing is normally slotted – so I guess you would want to look at this as well. Ken Morton in Canada is currently building up a three bearing motor with a pressure fed arrangement. His email details are on this site…. check back through the forum to find his past comments. I'm sure others in the UK are doing this as well and may have a view.  I have started a section on the Reliant motor on this site, Click Here to get to it. I have included some photographs showing the Reliant camshaft and centre bush in comparison to the standard seven version, you might find this interesting. I have also included in the camshaft section some photographs of a strange camshaft that I inherited with the Comet. Has anyone ever seen such a sports camshaft on a Seven? It might be one built by Bill Conoulty (Sydney Australia) in the 1930’s but I do not know anything about it??

Dave, the information you have supplied on original spark plugs for various Seven heads is now on this site, thanks very much……

Bruce
